APC UK Women’s Day Conference

At the APC UK Chapter Women’s Day Conference held in London Councillor Sade Etti, Cabinet Member for Housing Needs & Homelessness in the London Borough of Hackney, delivered an inspiring speech on gender equality and women’s empowerment.

She emphasized the importance of women uplifting and advocating for one another, stating that gender equality is not just a women’s issue but a collective responsibility. She urged women to continue breaking barriers, chase their dreams, and inspire the world.

In her closing remarks, she pointed out that Nigeria currently ranks 3rd to last in women’s representation and called on the APC-led government to do more to promote female inclusion in governance.

Responding immediately, Hon. Tunde Doherty, Chairman of the APC UK Chapter, reassured the audience that President Bola Ahmed Tinubu is committed to increasing women’s participation in government. He cited the example of the former Speaker of the Oyo State House of Assembly Rt. Hon. Monsurat Sunmonu, who was an active member of AD, AC, ACN UK, is a testament to the party’s commitment to women in leadership.

APC Diaspora Chapters Applauds Successful NEC Meeting, Reaffirms Support for Party Leadership

APC Diaspora Chapters Applauds Successful NEC Meeting, Reaffirms Support for Party Leadership

The APC UK Chapter congratulates the All Progressives Congress (APC) on the successful conduct of its National Caucus and National Executive Committee (NEC) meetings.

We commend the NEC for passing a well-deserved vote of confidence in President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s administration. His tireless efforts in steering Nigeria toward economic progress and national stability are evident, and this recognition underscores the positive trajectory of his leadership.

Additionally, we celebrate the vote of confidence extended to our National Chairman, Dr. Abdullahi Ganduje, and the entire National Working Committee (NWC). Dr. Ganduje has led the party to remarkable successes, not only in electoral victories but also in fostering unity, engagement, and inclusivity among party members. His leadership continues to distinguish the APC from the opposition, which struggles with internal stability.

The NEC’s decision to establish a Constitutional Review Committee, led by Governor Mai Mala Buni, is another commendable step toward strengthening the party’s framework. A more robust and inclusive constitution will ensure APC remains dynamic and responsive to the needs of its members worldwide.

Furthermore, we acknowledge the NEC’s approval of the party’s audited financial statements and budgets, reinforcing transparency and accountability within the APC.

As a committed diaspora chapter, the APC UK Chapter remains resolute in its support for the party’s leadership and President Tinubu’s Renewed Hope Agenda, working collectively toward the continued progress and development of Nigeria.

E-Signed:
Hon. Tunde Doherty
Chairman, APC UK CHAPTER/APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen (CDC)
