The All Progressives Congress (APC) United Kingdom Chapter extends warm felicitations to Nigeria and Nigerians across the globe on the joyous occasion of the 65th Independence Anniversary.
Sixty-five years ago, our beloved nation gained freedom from colonial rule, and ever since, we have walked a path defined by resilience, unity, and hope. Nigeria’s story is one of triumphs and challenges, yet through it all, the unwavering spirit of our people continues to shine brightly across the world.
In the last two years, under the leadership of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, significant steps have been taken to lay a strong foundation for sustainable growth and transformation. From reforms in security, the economy, education, health, agriculture, and infrastructure, to Nigeria’s renewed recognition on the global stage, these strides demonstrate a clear commitment to building a nation anchored on stability and progress.
As we celebrate this milestone, we also pay special tribute to Nigerians in the diaspora, particularly in the United Kingdom, whose sacrifices, investments, remittances, skills, and advocacy have continued to make a meaningful impact on national development. The Nigerian diaspora remains a vital bridge between our homeland and the international community, promoting trade, attracting investment, and projecting the best of Nigerian talent and resilience.
This anniversary is not only a celebration of our independence but also a call to action — a reminder that the future of Nigeria lies in our collective resolve to uphold unity, promote peace, and pursue prosperity for all.
Together, both at home and abroad, let us continue to work tirelessly to build the Nigeria of our dreams — a nation that will remain a beacon of hope, strength, and progress in Africa and beyond.
Happy Independence Day, Nigeria!
Long live the Federal Republic of Nigeria!
Long live the All Progressives Congress!
