Your Participation Will Make Election Rigging Impossible” – Dr. Aminat Olawunmi Ige

Your Participation Will Make Election Rigging Impossible” – Dr. Aminat Olawunmi Ige

At the APC UK Autumn General Meeting, Dr. Aminat Olawunmi Ige, an erudite scholar and mathematician, delivered a powerful message on the importance of voter participation.

In her remarks, she urged members to encourage their family and friends back home to register, obtain their voter’s card, and take part fully in the electoral process, reminding everyone that “your votes count.”

Drawing from her background as a mathematics lecturer, Dr. Ige emphasised that it is difficult to rig an election where citizens actively participate, because in the end, “numbers are very important.”

Her call serves as a reminder that active voter engagement remains the strongest safeguard of democracy.

An Evening with Dr. Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu, OFR

It was indeed a privilege and honour to host our National Organising Secretary of APC, HE Dr. Sulaiman Muhammad Argungu — Chairman of the Nigeria Bulk Electricity Trading Company and former Deputy Governor of Kebbi State — during his visit to London.

The evening was not just about sharing a meal, but about exchanging ideas, vision, and commitment for the continued growth of our great party, APC, and our beloved country, Nigeria. Dr. Argungu, in his characteristic depth, offered valuable insights into the state of the party and the nation, reinforcing the importance of unity, discipline, and focus as we look ahead to future milestones.

Welcoming him especially, the Chairman of APC UK and APC Committee of Diaspora Chairmen (APC CDC), Hon. Tunde Doherty, expressed gratitude for Dr. Argungu’s steadfast leadership and tireless efforts in ensuring that the APC stands firmly on a strong footing both in Nigeria and across the diaspora. He assured Dr. Argungu of the unwavering support of members in the diaspora, who remain committed to contributing their quota towards the Renewed Hope agenda.

In his response, Dr. Argungu warmly thanked everyone present for the hospitality they had shown him. He pledged his continuous support for the APC and reaffirmed his commitment to stand by party members all over the world, noting that the strength of the party lies in its collective will and global reach.

The night was a resounding success — marked by warm fellowship, rich conversations, and a renewed sense of purpose. It demonstrated that beyond politics, the APC family — in Nigeria and abroad — is united by a shared vision of progress, service, and hope for a greater Nigeria.

As my Reflections on the Passing of Former President Muhammadu Buhari appeared today in The Sun newspapers on Page 19.

The greatest legacy left for Nigeria by former President Muhammadu Buhari is President Bola Ahmed Tinubu, though those around him thinks otherwise, he stood firm. He stood for democracy, HE stood for the process, he stood for President Bola Ahmed Tinubu.

We will not forget former President Muhammadu Buhari in a hurry, may Almighty Allah continue to uphold his family, forgive him his sins and grant him Aljanah Firdaus.

Hon. Tunde Doherty Reacts to Atiku’s Exit from PDP: “No Threat to APC or President Tinubu”

Hon. Tunde Doherty Reacts to Atiku’s Exit from PDP: “No Threat to APC or President Tinubu”

The Chairman of the APC UK Chapter, Hon. Tunde Doherty, has responded to the breaking news of former Vice President Atiku Abubakar’s resignation from the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Speaking live during the TVC News at 10, Hon. Doherty described Atiku and his allies as serial contestants who pose no threat whatsoever to the APC or President Bola Ahmed Tinubu ahead of the 2027 general elections.

He boldly declared the PDP a sinking ship, saying that any new coalition birthed from its ashes will lead to nothing. According to him, President Tinubu’s track record, achievements, and unwavering leadership will guarantee his re-election.

He said President Tinubu will be re-elected in 2027 because Nigerians believe in his vision and leadership.

The APC UK Chairman reassured supporters that the party remains united, focused, and strong both at home and in the diaspora.
